About Our Piano Room

The room is appropriate for teaching or rehearsal purposes. It has proven popular with musicians both those local to Milton Keynes or those visiting the city.

Piano Stool

Spare piano stool for student to use when teaching.

Tripod

Sturdy tripod stand to hold cameras or recording devices, perfect for capturing performances, online teaching, or analyzing practice sessions.

Heater

Heater to keep the piano room warm and comfortable, ensuring optimal conditions for both the instrument and the pianist.

Mic Stand

An adjustable microphone stand ideal for vocal or instrumental recordings.

“Please Do Not Disturb” Sign

A clear and polite sign to hang outside the piano room, ensuring uninterrupted focus and respect for your rehearsal, practice, or teaching time.

Grand Piano

The room is equipped with a Yamaha C3, a highly regarded model from Yamaha’s renowned Conservatory series. The Yamaha C3 is a grand piano known for its exceptional sound quality, precise touch, and durability.

Size

The piano room is 350 cm by 214 cm (7.49sqm), providing a cozy and intimate space that’s perfect for focused practice sessions and small performances. The room is ideal for rehearsing, teaching, or recording, providing a dedicated environment for making music.

Rates

The piano room rate is £17 an hour.

Piano Room Rules

Bookings

Bookings are hourly and start on the hour. Bookings are made ONLY via the online booking system. Please book in advance of the hour you intend to start on.

Card payment or PayPal only

Credit/debit card or PayPal details will be required to secure the booking.

Can I cancel my booking? Do I get a refund?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance you will not be charged. If you cancel within the 48 hours, you will still be charged and this is non-refundable.

Maximum of 3 people in the room

Amplifiers

Amplifiers are not permitted.

Do you allow amplification or percussion instruments?

Amplification and percussion instruments are not permitted in the piano room.

Are food and drink permitted in the studios?

Yes, however we request that you are respectful of the instruments and remove any rubbish when you leave.

Is there access to toilets?

Yes, there are toilets in the main kitchen area.

Is there air conditioning in the room?

The piano room is fully air conditioned.

Can I use recording equipment?

Yes, recording is permitted in the piano room, however no equipment is provided by MK Piano Room.

Are children allowed in the practice rooms?

Yes, children are welcome if accompanied by an adult in our piano room.
